From the Inside Out

One of the biggest misnomers concerning Scriptures is salvation versus restoration.   Restoration in a running theme throughout Scripture but has been set aside as the world focuses on salvation.  There is no salvation without restoration.

2. the replacement or giving back of something lost, stolen, etc.

3. something restored, replaced, or reconstructed

All of Yahshua’s parables are focused on this running theme and can be used to establish the direction and purpose of the Kingdom.

The Nature themed parables:

• The Sower and the Seeds (Mark 4:3-9; Matt 13:3-9; Luke 8:5-8)
• The Grain of Wheat  (John 12:24)
• The weeds in the Grain or the Tares (Matt 13:24-30)
• The Net (Matthew 13:47-50)
• The Seed Growing Secretly (Spontaneously) or The Patient Husbandman (Mark 4:26-29)
• The Mustard Seed (Matt13:31f.;Mark 4:30-32; Luke 13:18 f.)
• The Leaven (Matthew 13:33; Luke 13:20 f.)
• The Budding Fig Tree (Matt 24:32 f.; Mark 13:28 f.; Luke 21:19-31)
• The Barren Fig Tree (Luke 13:6-9)
• The Birds of Heaven (Matthew 6:26; Luke 12:24)
• The Flowers of the Field (Matt 6:28-30; Luke 12:27f.)
• The Vultures & the Carcass (Matt 24:28; Luke 17:37)
• The Tree and its Fruits (Matthew 7:16; Luke 6:43-49)

All of these parables deal with things in nature and their restoration or lack thereof.  The results of the restoration culminate in salvation and the lack of restoration brings destruction.
The Work and Wages parables:

• The Waiting Servants (Luke 12:35-38; Mark 13:33-37)

• The Body’s Lamp (Matthew 6:22 f.; Luke 11:34-36)
• The Discarded Salt (Matt 5:13; Mark 9:50; Luke 14:34 f.)
• The Patch and the Wineskins (Matthew 9:16 f.; Mark 2:21 f.; Luke 5:36-39)
• The Householder’s Treasure (Matthew 13:52)

• The Defendant (Luke 12:58 f.; Matthew 5:25 f.)

Again we see the same theme in these parables; however, we see more of another theme that was hinted at in the nature parables, maintenance.  Maintenance is another key ingredient in the salvation process.  Since Yahshua was using work in these parables it was easier to incorporate the topic of maintenance into these parables.  There is a needed restoration of which the restored must maintain otherwise there can ne NO salvation.

Open and Closed Doors parables:

• the Closed Door (Luke 13:24-30)
• The Doorkeeper (Mark 13:33-37; cf. Matt 24:42)
• The Thief in the Night and the Faithful Servants (Matthew 24:42-51.; Luke 12:32-48.)
• The Strong Man Bound (Matthew 12:29; Mark 3:27; Luke 11:21 f.)
• The Divided Realm (Mark 3:24-26; Luke 11:17-20)
• The Unoccupied House or The Demon’s Invasion (Matthew 12:43-45; Luke 11:24-26)
• The Importunate Neighbor (Luke 11:5-8)
• The Son’s Request (Matthew 7:9-11; Luke 11:11-13)
• The Unjust Judge or The Importunate Widow (Luke 18:1-8)
  The Pharisee and the Publican (Luke 18:9-14)

Since these parables seem to be dealing with a distinction between one party and another, there is more than meets the eye here.  The entering into one room/area and the departure from another.  Once the transition has been made there is restoration, maintenance and ultimately salvation.  To effectively leave one thing to go into another takes action on the part of the party involved.  You cannot stay in one area and wait for change.  You must begin the change by deciding to leave one and go into the other.  Afterwards you must maintain to insure that you achieve salvation.  You cannot save yourself, but you cannot be saved unless you choose to move.

Wedding and Feasts parables:

• The Sulking Children or The Children in the Marketplace (Matthew 11:16-19; Luke 7:31-35)
• The Arrogant Guest (Luke 14:7-11)
• The Bridegroom's Friend (John 3:28)
• The Bridegroom's Attendants (Matthew 9:15a; Mark 2:18 f.; Luke 5:34)
• The Bride’s Girlfriends or Ten Virgins (Matt25:1-13)
• The Tower Builder and The Warring King (Luke 14:28-32)
• The Wedding Feast or The Unwilling Guests (Matt 22:1-10; Luke 14:16-24)
• The Wedding Garment (Matthew 22:11-14)
• The Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31)

I do not see the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus so much as a parable, it mentions specific names and was most likely not a parable.  However, as with the parables in the theme, it contains the same basic elements.  There is decision, action, restoration, maintenance or lack thereof and salvation or destruction.  We can clearly see that Yahshua’s ministry was clearly focused on this theme.

To wrap this analysis up let’s look at the most obvious theme of the remaining parables.

Lost and Found/Father and Son parables:

• The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)
• The Prodigal Son or The Loving Father (Luke 15:11-32)
• The Two Sons, The Apprentice Son, and The Slave and Son (Matthew 21:28-32; John 5:19-20a; John 3:35)
• The Lost Coin (Luke 15:8-10)
• The Lost Sheep (Matthew 28:12-14; Luke 15:4-7)
• The Shepherd, the Thief, and the Doorkeeper (John 10:1-18)
• The Doctor and the Sick (Matthew 9:12; Mark 2:17; Luke 5: 31 f.)
  The Great Assize or The Sheep and the Goats(Matthew 25:31-46)
These are the easiest parables to see the theme.  In this set of parables we see lots of action.  You will never find anything until you search for something.  Passive attitude is the damnation of humanity.  I am shocked at the masses of so called “believers” who show no initiative to seek their Creator.  The mindset is “I have been saved and I am waiting for the rapture” or “I am a good person and do not need to change.” 

We are missing the whole point of Yahshua’s work, for you see the Blood/Redemption is the starting point and the ending.  Let me explain.

Every human who has or is living must make a decision.  No one can be changed or restored without first deciding to seek and embrace change.  You can “witness” to people until you are martyred and only those who are looking/seeking will actually see change.  You will notice that Yahshua didn’t grab the sick, possessed and needy by the nape of the neck and force them into change.  Those that either came to Him or exhibited a desire for change were restored.  All of the miracles of Yahshua are signposts to guide you to Him.

Where does the first spark to seek initiate?  Somewhere deep inside, way deep in our very structural makeup, there is a link in every human back to our Creator.  Now don’t stop reading here if we disagree.  I will explain what I am talking about.

We are all descendants of Hawwah (Eve).

 

Gen 3:20  And the man called his wife’s name Ḥawwah, because she became the mother of all living.

 

We all came from the womb of the woman who came out of the side of Adam.  Adam was created by the Hands of YHWH using dirt, water and the Breath/Ruach.  When the Ruach went into Adam, he came to life.

 

Gen 2:7  And יהוה Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of life. And the man became a living being.

The combination of dirt, water and Breath  was life.  This life was IN  the blood.  YHWH had perfect and sinless blood, so man/adam had perfect blood and the half removed from him had the same blood.  The very name Adam keys us to this fact as the base of his name means “blood.”  Dom means blood in Hebrew, so Adam is actually ha dom or “the blood.”  When sin was introduced via fruit/seed the structure of mankind was changed.  Everyone born is born into sin.  Even innocent perfect little babies have the sin code flowing through their veins. 

So if seed entered mankind and got into the blood, then changed the DNA by writing in sickness, disease and death; we know need a covering or transfusion of perfect, sinless blood.  This process begins on the inside and works its way out.

Without understanding the steps (teshuvah/repentance, action, restoration and maintenance) one cannot and will not be saved.  We all must return to the Tree of Life and eat from its branches.  Then when we partake of Him, we become one with Him and the DNA change begins.

I am diabetic.  I have been for quite some time.  Undoubtedly, I became diabetic from the huge amounts of messages I continually wrote on my DNA by ingesting things that were not food.  Just because it is packaged as and presented as food doesn’t make everything food.  I am convinced that YHWH can heal my diabetes and restore my DNA to its proper state.  However, if He does and I continue to eat un-food, I will get diabetes again.

How often when Yahshua healed someone did He say, “Go your way and sin no more”?  Can you see that He knew the DNA had been rewritten (restoration) and the only  way to stay healed was no sin (maintenance)? 

This is the answer to why we do not see miracles and deliverance today like they did in the Besorah (Gosple) and the book of Acts.  We don’t see the connection to sin and sickness and oft times we are encumbered by these same issues due to a lack of maintenance.

When we as the Body of Messiah teach teshuvah-restoration-maintenance-salvation, we will see results.  Are there hungry/seeking people out there?  YES!!  We cannot prejudge the ground we are sowing, we must sow and let YHWH give the increase.  I am sure that all of us can attest to the fact that there was a time we might have been deemed not worthy of hearing.  But someway through somebody YHWH gave you access to a door that leads to Him, and you made the right decision.

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

“I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore you shall choose life, so that you live, both you and your seed,
(Deuteronomy 30:19 The Scriptures 1998+)

Jos 24:15  “And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve יהוה, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve יהוה.”

Using Fusion

In the early 1990’s, around ’93, the United States Army led by Dr. Cleve Backster did a series of experiments that has rocked the world of science.

The team of experts would extract DNA from the subjects, and then place the DNA in a container that had been vacuum sealed. This would put the DNA into an environment that was unaffected by outside influence. They then began the experiment by moving the suspended DNA into the next room. The subject was then exposed to a series of videos for the purpose of emotional response. They used violent, comedic and erotic video to give a wide array of emotional response.

While doing this the scientists were in the next room monitoring the extracted DNA samples. To their shock and amazement, the DNA had impulse response to the emotional impulse being experienced by the subject in the next room!

This led to further experimentation by moving the suspended DNA further and further from the subjects while continuing the video barrage. The DNA never ceased to respond instantaneously even after moving the DNA up to 350 miles away! For some reason, the test results were not released past a distance of 350 miles. I highly suspect that the experiment was tested at distances much greater than the released results. Nevertheless, this finding is absolutely astounding.

Let’s consider the implications of what this experiment reveals:

1. Since you and your spouse have exchanged DNA, when separated by at least 350 miles, you remain one and can feel each other’s emotions due to the DNA connection. So you virtually never leave or forsake them if you recognize and utilize the DNA fusion.

Mat 28:20 teaching them to guard all that I have commanded you. And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Amĕn.

1Ki 8:57 “יהוה our Elohim is with us as He was with our fathers – He does not leave us nor forsake us –

Heb 13:5 Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, “I shall never leave you nor forsake you,”

1. When you have exchanged DNA with unbelievers and you do not submit your heart and life to the pure and undefiled DNA of Yahshua haMashiach, you are unequally yoked with each individual and can feel and experience emotional trauma from at least 350 miles away.

2Co 6:14 Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with darkness?

2Co 6:15 And what agreement has Messiah with Beliyaal? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?

2Co 6:16 And what union has the Dwelling Place of Elohim with idols? For you are a Dwelling Place of the living Elohim, as Elohim has said, “I shall dwell in them and walk among them, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.”

2Co 6:17 Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you.

2Co 6:18 “And I shall be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says יהוה the Almighty.”

Pro 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death

Php 2:5 For, let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah יהושע,

1. A child is born with both the DNA of the father and mother inside. Additionally the mother has the DNA of the child inside of her. What this essentially means is that there is a connection between the child and its father that transcends distance. The child is plugged into the father. Additionally there is a connection both ways between a child and its mother. Not only is the child connected with its mother, the mother is connected with the child.

Col 1:24 who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in Messiah’s afflictions, for the sake of His Body, which is the assembly,

Col 1:25 of which I became a servant according to the administration of Elohim which was given to me for you, to fill the word of Elohim,

Col 1:26 the secret which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His set-apart ones,

Col 1:27 to whom Elohim desired to make known what are the riches of the esteem of this secret among the gentiles: which is Messiah in you, the expectancy of esteem,

Rom 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His.

Rom 8:10 And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness.

(A father can temporarily fuse DNA by hugs and kisses. Although this is just a surface exchange, it is effective and works for a short time.)

So let’s recap and put these pieces together.

Our DNA remains connected to us even when outside of our physical bodies and instantly responds to the impulses our bodies experience even though it has left our bodies. This explains the command to be careful who you touch.

1Ti 5:22 Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in sins of others. Keep yourself clean.

Just touching the wrong person could extract DNA that would make us partakers in their sin and unclean. Of course we could rectify this and put it under the blood, but we are advised to be careful how we handle people.

We have had DNA fusion when we accept the Blood of Yahshua as our covering. This effectively connects us to Him regardless of where we go and what we are facing.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Moshiach, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able, and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Elohim. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His. And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised יהושע from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you. So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim.

We are literally united, connected to Yahshua. We are echad (one) with Him and therefore we do not sin, but we live a Set Apart life.

Heb 13:20 And the Elohim of peace who brought up our Master יהושע from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Heb 13:21 make you perfect in every good work to do His desire, working in you what is pleasing in His sight, through יהושע Messiah, to whom be esteem forever and ever. Amĕn.

Rom 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, but all members do not have the same function,

Rom 12:5 so we, the many, are one body in Messiah, and members each one of one another.

In Matthew chapter nine, a woman with an “issue” of blood seeks out Yahshua for healing. The woman was losing blood, hemorrhaging. To put it plainly she was having excessive menstruations. The Hebrew word is Strong’s #1739, daveh. This is a sickness in the blood and was directly connected to her DNA and how her body was reacting to the malady within her blood.

The woman presses through the crowd and touches the “hem” of Yahshua’s garment. The word “hem” used in Matthew’s writing is the Greek word “kraspedon” which means fringe or tassel and refers to a twisted extension. The Hebrew word is tzit tzit and is a twisted or wrapped tassel made of three white and one blue cord.

Okay let’s break this down one process at a time.

DNA

DNA is a multi-twisted strand. A DNA molecule is like a ladder because there are two sides (the sugar-phosphate backbones of the two strands) and rungs (each rung being a pair of complementary bases). 
Twisted, because the molecule is twined in a coil called a helix - or rather, a double helix because there are two strands. (see below)

There are four (4) bases of DNA. They are Guanine, Cytocine, Adenine, Thymine. There are three (3) parts of DNA  -the Bases, Phosphate Groups, and Sugar (Deoxyribose). Hang with me for a minute and I will piece all of this together. The four bases bind to the sugar backbone and form four possible pairs with sixty-four possible groupings. It’s the combining of these pairs into groupings that writes the codex that your makes you who you are. DNA is composed of four (4) elements: hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon. These are the four most common elements found in all living things. DNA carries the instructions for all living things written inside, using the four bases mentioned above. The RNA is the “messenger” that replicates or sometimes rewrites the message encoded within the DNA.

Author and computer systems designer Gregg Braden wrapped his book The God Code around the premise that God's name is literally encoded into every human body. According to Braden's logic, the basic elements of DNA--hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon--directly translate into specific letters of the Hebrew alphabets (YHVA), which then translate into the original name of God.

If Mr. Braden’s premise is correct, and science and Scripture seems to agree, then written with our twisted DNA strands is the Name of YHWH.

Tzittzit

The tzit tzit is a twisted cord that is placed on the four (4) corners of our garments as commanded:

Deu 22:12 “Make tassels on the four corners of the garment with which you cover yourself.

Tzittzit are made with four (4) threads, three white and one blue. There are different methods used but the four threads are twisted into a single strand.

The tzittzit is definitely a picture of our DNA! We also see that tzittzit without the blue thread as an incomplete DNA that rejects the Blood of our King Mashiach, Yahshua.

One of the more common ways the tzittzit were tied was in four (4) separate sets of loops numbering 10-5-6-5. This was for the letters yud (Y) hey (H) wah (W) and hey (H) or the Creator’s Name YHWH. By tying the tzittzit in this manner and including the blue thread the tzittzit would have the Name of YHWH written inside, just as Mr. Braden has suggested we have in our DNA.

I do not know how Yahshua tied His tzittzit. I can safely assume that the Righteous King would have used blue thread, but I cannot prove this to be true. But IF Yahshua had four tzittzit on four corners of His garment using four threads each 4x4x4=64. (The same number of groupings inside every DNA strand) IF Yahshua had a 10-5-6-5 wrap, YHWH’s Name was inside the tzittzit the woman touched and she effectively connected with YHWH through Yahshua. IF Yahshua used a blue thread in His tzittzit, He had three (3) strands of white (purity or righteousness) and one (1) strand of blue (royalty or majesty). The woman touched a a King (Melek) who was a tzadik (righteous) man; a Melektzadik. A Cohen haGadol from the order of Melektzadik. The only one able to be a King and a Priest at the same time was a Melektzadik.

I know there are a lot of IF’s in the above paragraph, and I am not asking you to believe me, I am asking you to consider how YHWH works. When a woman with sick blood needed a blood transfusion from a man with perfect Blood, how can she get it with piercing His skin and drawing from the source? She can grab His DNA and be spiritually changed to the point of physical transformation. Is this possible? Let me ask you, what takes precedent; the physical or the Spiritual?

We know that sin brings death and sickness is the beginning of death. Righteousness or tzadik brings Life, the very Words of YHWH are Life. The woman had sickness (sin) in her blood, and was made well or whole (life) by touching the tzittzit (DNA) of Yahshua. Essentially by coming into contact with the perfect Blood, there was a RNA inserted into her blood that rewrote her DNA back to the original code that did not have the sin/death message.

Real Men Finish

In my life I have met some really manly men.  I have known men who fought in wars and survived in the most minimal of environments.  I have known real life cowboys and ranchers who by the sweat of their brow and callouses on their hands existed.  I have been around men who seemed to literally pull themselves up by their own boot straps and rise from the ashes of defeat to greatness.  I have worked beside men who didn’t know the word quit and probably couldn’t even spell it.

One common thread runs through the life of real men.  In fact, it is the only common denominator I have found between every “real” man I have known.  Some men where rugged, tough and physically imposing.  Others were nothing that much to look at and you wouldn’t guess what was inside based on the outside.  Some where handsome and dashing while others not so much, but EVERY one that was a “real” man had this bonding element.

When Yahshua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
(John 19:30)

Real men finish!!!

I have known men who started a lot of things.  They seem to thrive on the excitement of a new job; rushing headfirst into a challenge with vim and vigor. Without exception the defining difference between a real man and all others is do they finish.

In baseball there was a time when the starting pitchers routinely pitched complete games.  In fact, there have been times when the starting pitcher pitched in both games of a double header (back to back games).  Sometime, before I was born, things began changing within the sport.  Relief pitchers begin to be pop up and before too long the save became the popular statistic.  The save was when a pitcher would come into the game in the latter innings and finish the game without surrendering the lead.  When the “closer” became popular the “complete game” became obsolete.  Now starting pitchers relied on the relief pitchers to finish what they started. 

Now I know this is just baseball, but it seems baseball may be mimicking life. When did men start to rely on others to finish what they started?  Why did men start to surrender the task set before them without seeing the job done?

I have known very few things in life more fulfilling than stopping and looking back at what I just finished.  Be it great or small, arduous or miniscule; completing the job I started makes me fill complete.  So how did we as men (humans) become quitters? If the completion of a task is the greatest reward in work, why do we oft times quit before it is finished?

The word our Master Yahshua undoubtedly spoke that days as He surrendered His Spirit was "Nishlam.”

We can often determine the meaning of a word by the first time it is used in Scripture.  The root word for nishlam is shalam.  You may recognize the word by it’s connection to shalom the common Hebrew word used as a greeting meaning completion, fullness or wholeness.  We sometimes call this peace.  Look at the first time this word is used in the Tanakh.

(1 Kings 9:25 OJB)  And three times in shanah did Sh'lomo offer olot and shelamim upon the Mizbe'ach which he built unto YHWH and he burned ketoret upon the Mizbe'ach that was before YHWH. So he completed ET (alef tav) the Beis.

Wheb Shlomo (Solomon) offered up three times a day the burnt offerings and peace offering, he fininshed (shlamah) Alef/Tav the bayit (house) of YHWH.

When Yahshua haMashiach hung on the tree, He suffered and was tortured then the last Words to leave His mouth were nishlam.  Is it a coincidence that Shlomo completes the Temple when the three offerings of the year had been completed?  When the cycle of a year is done, the Temple is now whole, complete and finished.  When Yahshua dies, the three offerings of the cycle are complete so the heavenly Temple of which the earthly is a shadow or type of are now whole, complete and finished.  SELAH!!  (Stop and think about it)

Inside the Mishkan as well as the Temple there were no chairs, no benches, nothing to sit on.  Why?  The work was never ending, the cohen stayed busy but never completed the job.  So the cohen themselves may have completed their service and stepped down for another to step up, but the job itself was never completed.

(Mark 16:19 The Scriptures 1998+)  Then indeed, after the Master had spoken to them, He was received up into the heaven, and sat down at the right hand of Elohim.

So on the tree, Yahshua does what all real men do…He completed the task set before Him.  He showed chesed and layed down His life so we can find pleasures netzach (forever more).

Now back to us today.  Where are the closers?  Where are the men who have enough of YHWH to show His wisdom and loving kindness and victory, endurance?  What does that mean?

The battle is not won by our power, by our might.  The battles is won by our stick-to-edness   (nishlam). 

You see to finish a job in YHWH’s dictionary means to bring it to completion.  So every time we set our hand to something and do not see it through, every time we take a hold of the plow then turn back, every time we fell compelled to leave the job and return to help bury the dead; we are not (shalam) completing the job.  By doing this we mar our reputation and since we our marked with His Name (that’s what shem really means) we break His Command.

“You do not bring/lift up/take the Name of YHWH your Elohim to naught, for YHWH does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.

If you have a debt, for His Name’s sake pay it.  If you have wronged a brother, for His Name’s sake go make teshuvah (repentance).  If you have started something, for His Name’s sake finish it.

When will there be a noticeable difference between bnei YHWH (sons of YHWH) and the bnei ha satan (sons of the adversary)?  When the men of YHWH become finishers.

The King Is Coming!

 

Massive animal deaths are occurring all around us.  The New Madrid fault is shaking again and we could see a major earthquake any day now.  Yellowstone Park has an active volcano underground that is ready to explode and take out major portions of the U.S.  The U.S. dollar is on life support and the plug could be pulled at any time.  Most major cities, most states and the United States are all bankrupt and cannot possibly get their books in the black again.  We are being over run by Islam and their violent religion as we have a pro-Islamic leader in the White House.  Immigration issues are a sore point and we have no way of knowing the origin or intent of those who have snuck into our country.  The illuminati/catholic/masonic/mafia/islamic/nazi/republican/democrat/christian/televangelist are taking over the world.

GOOD NEWS!!!

Yes, like you I am sick of hearing about all these things.  The constant barrage of internet posts of videos and articles are ad nausea.  I would love to shove Jesse Ventura into Alex Jones’ mouth.  Not really, I just feel that way sometimes.  It’s not that I don’t appreciate the information that is put forth, it’s just that sometimes too much information makes us lose sight of the main thing.  I have dear friends on Facebook that seem to thrive on the constant posting of these terrors.  I am not opposed to watching the signs or opposed to letting others know what time it is.  I am opposed to making these “signs” my religion.  The only good that comes out of knowing all these things it that it means our KING is soon coming.

When I was a kid in church I remember singing this song:

The King is coming, the King is coming
I just heard the trumpet sounding and soon His face I'll see
The King is coming, the King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me

I realize this song was written as a pro pretrib rapture ballad, but lately this thought has been running through my head.  He IS coming, I will most likely live to hear the shofar sounding His return and I will see His face.

So all of the rhetoric over the bad news has got me thinking about the good news.

(28)  “And when these matters begin to take place, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Maybe we should ease up on hammering just the bad news.  Lets hammer the good new and sprinkle in the facts of the day.  King Yahshua ha Mashiach is coming.  That’s what people need to hear.  We don’t need to be like Chicken Little and run around screaming “the sky is falling, the sky is falling.”  We need to be thinking and talking about Good News.

It seems some of us who follow Yahshua are not thinking these “Good” things.  Maybe not everyone who focuses on the bad news of the day is affected by dwelling on those things.  However, in your wildest imaginations does the bad things in the current news meet the qualifications listed above? 

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is righteous, whatever is clean, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any uprightness and if there is any praise – think on these.

I can’t help but believe that if a person continuously feeds on the bad things around us they will be affected by those things.

 

We need Watchmen on the wall.  We need others pointing out prophesy as it is fulfilled.  What we don’t need is making every news story into the current terror among the brethren.

 

We are called to help find the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.  That should be our number one job.  If we don’t know who the Lost Sheep are, we need to pray and study until we figure this foundational theme out.  We need to support one another and lift each other up in prayer.  We need the love of YHWH.

Confusion

 

I don’t understand what I am going thru

Friends and so-called brethren don’t love like You do

When they have a problem or a prayer request

When they have trials they’re going thru test

They are quick to mail or give me a call

Asking that upon my knees I would fall

When I ask for prayer or moral support

I get no reply, not a single report

 

The enemy surrounds and we struggle to live

Shouldn’t Your children have a little time to give?

Why is it that their problems are of upmost concern

My problems are just another lesson I need to learn?

I don’t ask for their money, their possessions, not even a dime

All I am asking for, is a little of their time

But the things that I face, what I’m going thru

Is not important, that’s the message they send to You

 

This won’t stop me from praying every time they have a need

Even though I understand they are selfish and have spiritual greed

I’ll keep on praying and lifting them up

While trusting somehow You’ll fill my empty cup

And while You are at it, if You have a moment to spare

Please teach Your children to share and care

 

Leave Me Alone?

John Donne once said, “No man is an island, entire of itself.”  We humans have an innate desire to have others around us.  As enticing as the hermit life style might seem to some, solitary confinement remains one of the cruelest punishments know to man.  So we seek friends, confidants, a support system around us to help get us through life’s trouble.  With our peeps at our side, we feel lifted up and comforted.

I recently read an excellent book written by a well known rabbi that had an interesting spin on this topic.  I have tried hard to disprove his theory,  and I don’t like it one bit.  The theory being that men aren’t supposed to desire or seek “support.”  We are men and we make it only with the Heavenly Father’s help alone.  Yet, Scripture seems to back this up.  Where was Noah’s best friend or neighbor?  The only people on the ark was family.  Where was Abraham’s best friend or support team?  Jacob’s? 

You do seem some instances where characters had friends i.e. David and Jonathan, Joshua and Caleb, Daniel and the three Hebrew men.  Even Yahshua the Messiah had talmidim (students or servants) that travelled with  Him and offered some support.  Was it not Adam who wanted a partner?

And YHWH Elohim said, “It is not good for the man to be alone, I am going to make a helper for him, as his counterpart.”
(Genesis 2:18 The Scriptures 1998+)

So YHWH put Adam asleep, took a part out of him and made a separate body for Adam to commune with.  This would seem to indicate that we men should look to our wives as our first line of support.  Here lies the problem with that idea:

1.  We men were raised to be tough and figure things out on our own without help.  We’re men, we’re men!!

2.  Women were raised that men don’t want their advice/help and they should stay out of their husbands lives and seek “girl” friends.

So how can we as husbands and wives rebuild this emotional bridge we have been conditioned to burn?  Should we as men confide and converse with our wives in this manner?  Would we be lowering ourselves from our manly status if we try to embrace this feminine trait, as the rabbi mentioned above has written?

Many men, and some women, have become very staunch and stubborn when it comes to sharing personal pain and weakness.  We try to put on a front and keep others from seeing our insides.  This way if the problems aren’t seen or shared we do not appear to be weak.

Let me turn this spotlight inward for a moment.  I have been known throughout my life as a clown or comedian.  Making jokes and acting the fool to get a laugh or a smile is a way of life for me.  Here lies the problem; oft times and definitely in my case, people who have this comedic personality are crying inside.  If we keep people laughing we know that no one will have the chance to get us crying.  The image of a disturbed clown who makes others laugh while crying in secret is more true than we care to admit.  What I am hiding is years of sorrow, grief and sometimes depression.  I understand that this may be making you squirm in your seat, that is not my intention at all.  Or maybe you feel sorry for me and want to give me some sympathy, I am not seeking that either.  In fact, when people sympathize after the hurt one has opened up it comes across as too little too late.  We should have noticed sooner, or had enough spiritual discernment to offer comfort without prompting.  But back to my point here.  I haven’t had a support group of friends in my life and I have suffered because of it.  I am not blaming those I called “friends” even though some might deserve blame because I don’t open up.  This blog isn’t easy and I am not enjoying writing this at all. 

I love my wife and we are very close.  We do talk and lately have become support for each other.  It is difficult for both of us as stated in points 1 and 2 above.  We are trying to change the way we look at each other and become more supportive.  If this makes me less of a man and the rabbi calls me feminine, I guess I’ll deal with that later.

The other area of support, from the brethren, is actually much more difficult.  A few months ago, I shared some personal and private struggles with a brother and confessed the need to develop some measure of accountability.  I got the “cave man” stare and to this date he hasn’t inquired about me and my issues or shared anything with me in return.  This is what makes the support system among the brothers so hard.

Do you think Abraham had a friend he sat on the back porch with and poured out his heart to?  Did Jacob have a unmentioned friend that he confided in?  Should we seek to have this type of relationship with Believing brethren?  

This I know.

Ka'as (sorrow) is better than laughter; for sadness of the countenance is good for the lev (heart).

So maybe as men we should cry more and laugh less.  Maybe if we did, there would be less heart attacks.

Even in laughter the heart is in pain, And the end of that joy is heaviness.
(Proverbs 14:13 The Scriptures 1998+)

Draw near to Elohim and He shall draw near to you. Cleanse hands, sinners. And cleanse the hearts, you double-minded! Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Master, and He shall lift you up.
(James 4:8-10 The Scriptures 1998+)

So it behooves me (and maybe you) to not be so quick to laugh.  Learn to cry more and don’t be afraid to mourn.  While we’re at it, maybe we men should learn to bond with the gift your Father gave you and learn to talk to her.  I believe that it won’t hurt your manhood to acknowledge that you need YHWH and you need your wife.  To the wives, (since you’re reading this) you need to talk to your sisters a little less and to your husbands a little more.  Let him know you consider him trustworthy enough and important enough to share your problems with.  This venture will take time and effort on both parts, but we can do ALL things through Yahshua who strengthens us.

While I have your attention men; you need to develop some accountability.  First and foremost, reestablish the line of communication between you and YHWH.  Personal and private prayer is dying among the brethren.  We also need to learn to be trustable and trusting.  Most guys will never ask another guy, “how does that make you feel.”  But we as men shouldn’t be afraid to tell another brother if we are struggling or having issues.  This too takes a lot of time and effort, but I believe we can become stronger as we learn to lean.
